Yesterday AM we found out that we had a broken spring and both vehicles were inside so no way to get them out, well easy way anyway...called Compaan and they understood and would try to get it done by 4PM...Doug called about 12:15 and said he would be there at 1PM...he was 5 minutes early (that's a real plus in this world)...took him all of 30 minutes to get us back up and running again.................in the meantime IF the 'free' money comes in from the gov we're thinking about a new garage door...so I interacted with Sherie, Doug and Gary for this job and it was a very good experience overall...UPDATE: needed a new opener so called Compaan again...Jerry was here right on time and did an excellent job installing it for me...BUT I did keep him company while he was installing it...works like a champ considering I had to beat on the other to get it to engage once in awhile (for about the last 4 years)...so the next thing I guess will be the doors themselves...and I'll call Compaan again...

Austin was awesome! He came and knew right away the issue. He went back to the shop and grabbed what he's needed and next thing I know the garage door was like new. I sent an email on Sunday requesting service knowing they were closed. Monday morning I got a call where I explained the problem and was told a service technician would stop by to investigate and fix the problem. 14 minutes laterJared knocked on the door. I explained my issue - it took him all of 3-4,minutes to diagnose the problem. He fixed it and did an adjustment of the door opener chain and lubrication of the garage door and door springs. Jared was friendly, explained the issue I called about as well as the service he performed overall. While I hope I don’t need service again, if I do, I won’t hesitate calling Compaan Door & Operator again.

We had other quotes and went with Compaan. They had an extremely quick response to our needs, had a friendly staff and great prices. I've already recommended them to other.

I had my driveway replaced which changed the finished floor elevation. This impacted how my door operated. I contacted Compaan Door, who installed the original door for an adjustment. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and when I wanted the appointment. They let me know when the were on the way and Josh, the tech, reached out when the work was completed and let me know what he did and if any other repairs were needed. I appreciate the quick communication. Everyone was nice and professional. Thanks

SUPER fast to come out to Allendale and replace our garage door opener, and very affordable as well. Really, really happy with Compaan's service from initial call to the installation; five stars and would absolutely call them again and recommend them for any garage door troubles!

They were able to come same day to replace broken garage door spring and cable. Garage door is older, high quality, and heavy and they had to run back to shop to get a bigger spring and still were done in a couple hours.

I needed to replace a very old garage door opener and chose a Liftmaster belt opener. I scheduled quickly and efficiently through the website and by email. Austin, the installer, was right on time, very professional and friendly. The job was done quickly, neatly and at a price less than I expected. He also inspected and performed maintenance on the door itself. I would highly recommend Compaan.

Austin/Compaan performed a service/inspection of our garage door and opener. He was professional and very friendly. He reduced the noise, that our opener was making, by at least 80%. He setup our remotes and wall controls, lubricated the wheels and hinges, and advised that a new opener was not needed.
This is the second time Compaan has worked for us over the last five years. They are professional, prompt, provide great service, and very competitive rates. Highly recommended.

Had a torsion spring break on my my garage door on a Thursday put in a call to my home warranty company . Friday morning Compaan Door here in Holland michigan called and set up a appointment for Monday. Mid morning on Monday Austin the garage door technician texted me . He was here in five minutes . I had him replace both torsion springs . Austin, was very professional at what he does. Austin was fast at replacing both torsion springs ,and he also lubed all hinges, rollers , springs. Austin did a Quality repair cleaned up ,and was done in a half hour .So ,if you need new garage door ,garage door opener or a just repair work definitely give Compaan Door & Operator Co. a Call .

The spring broke on our Garage Door. Compaan answered the phone right away (a real person) and had a technician out to our house within a couple hours on a Friday afternoon. Although at first he thought he might just have to patch it, the technician went out of his way and got the repair completed that afternoon. Super professional, super friendly, and the payment process was easy. Definitely recommend calling Compaan.

I called the company rather late on a Friday afternoon. A spring on my garage door had broken and Compaan sent Josh out early the following Monday morning. Josh was very personable and he certainly is good at his craft. In a relatively short time Josh had finished the job, cleaned up afterward and with a smile on his face he departed for the next repair call. My experience was 5 stars plus!!!! Thank you to Josh and to Compaan!

Last night my wall mounted remote would’nt operate, replaced battery, still didn’t work. Campaan Door and Operator Co. sent their best guy here. In about 15 minutes, like magic, problem solved. Thank you and your expert.

The technician was on time and very helpful.
My garage door springs were broken and he replaced them very quickly and I was all set, again.
FYI....the door will not open (certainly by me) without the assistance of the springs.
No functioning springs, no opening the door, car cannot get out of garage. You miss work, if not retired.
Speed of service makes the price reasonable.

These folks have been out twice in the last year to help us. First was to replace a broken spring and then this morning to perform an exorcism on my possessed garage door that decided to come down on my car as I was exiting the garage this morning all... by... it's... self...
These guys were here within a few hours of our call and in 20 minutes they had popped the door back in track, replaced the broken trim on the frame and programmed us with a fully functional garage door opener. Fantastic all around.

The temperature was sinking, the wind was blowing and it was snowing when my garage door broke over the weekend. Quick response to call when garage door would not go up or down. Technician came out same day gave me an estimate and time he would be back to fix it. Repair technician replaced new opener and touchpad and two remotes for cars. Graciously parked my car back in the garage for me as I am handicapped and not easy for me to get in and out. Would highly recommend this company.

Compaan Door will have my buisness for life. They did my door in 2013 when my home was built and now in 2026 in the middle of a winter storm they came out and fixed and replaced everything that was needed when I was trapped and unable to leave. VERY much appreciate them and the speed. Called in the AM and they were there before lunch. Thank you guys!

My garage door spring broke and I found many places refuse to give a quote on the phone. Compaan gave me an exact price and arrived promptly at 8:00AM the next morning. Friendly, efficient, and literally half the price of the only other company to give me a quote. Don’t bother shopping around - they are the best.

2023: Scheduling service was very easy, even on short notice.
Had the same tech who replaced springs 8 years ago, a good sign employees have experience and remain with the company.
All the service Compaan has performed on our 16' garage door has been for different problems, none recurring. The total cost was not much more than the service call. They never replace things that aren't necessary, pointing out why something I asked about was unnecessary.
I've been happy with their service and cost for the last 23:years in our home (and probably our previous house, as well).

Door reversed due to a tool blocking photocell, and top rollers came out of the tracks. That was a Friday night. I sent an e-mail & left voice-mail (not an emergency/urgency).
They contacted me Monday AM & fixed the problem while I was just away.

Our very old system was failing us. During the phone call, we were given the prices and pros and cons of the openers available. Our garage door started acting crazy, we called and Compaan had us scheduled quickly! The diagnosis of our issue was done in minutes! We ended up with a new opener that was installed so fast I thought a NASCAR pit crew stopped over and did the work! It works perfectly now! We had forgotten that our keypad needed to be programmed, no worries there either we had a new keypad installed the next day! We couldn’t be happier with the expertise and service. My garage door had stopped working properly last week, so I called the morning of Black Friday to request service. Amazingly, they were able to send a repair technician out that same day. Installed a new seal on the bottom of our insulated door in 1/2 hour. I was going to do it myself but on this particular door it was not a feasible DIY project. Door tension had to be released and that’s where I draw the line and have the pro’s do it. The technician updated me on what was done and answered my questions. Overall a good experience and a professional trouble free install was performed.

We had a mishap with our garage door, damaging it and rending it inoperable. Austin came out and indicated he likely would not be able to get it operating. However, he would do what he could to get it opened so I could get our car out. Not only did he get it opened, but he got it operating. He was friendly, honest, and worked quickly. I would definitely recommend this company. They don’t just offer repairs and installation, but also the options of creating your own garage doors. App is easy to navigate. Print is nice and large but not huge for easy to read, for all ages. Pictures of showroom helped understand their scope of sizes, colors, and other differences in their different projects. The only down fall I see is when companies don’t offer a baseline price without an actual estimate from a professional, some home owners would like to know some base prices for budgeting.

Compaan Door did an amazing job helping me pick a new garage door within my budget and my style guidelines! Our house is OLD (184 yrs) and our garage door was solid wood, heavy and rotting and not only was it ugly but I worried about safety. They took the old door (a 16 ft. monster), and left a beautiful black carriage house door that is sealed and insulated, has gorgeous windows and hardware in it's place! I love my new door!!! The end result looks great. A quality product and superb installation work by the Compaan team installers. Giving 4 stars because we did have some communication problems during the process. We had good conversations with the sales team early to express what we needed some details were missed. Some delays in delivery (without any proactive phone calls). Ultimately, yep, everything looks good and their team resolved gaps in parts; however, when I'm paying a premium and working with "the best", expectations are high. I would recommend Compaan to others, but double-check everything at the start to ensure there are no missed items.

I had a broken garage door that came off the track and wouldn’t close on Saturday afternoon at my 3rd Coast Motors showroom. Amazing service - so glad I called Compaan on the recommendation of a friend (thanks Zach!). Compaan didn’t originally install our doors 10 years ago but they provided immediate service to get our door open (broken torsion spring) and the spring replaced. Great communication all the way along the process via text updates . Thanks again !

Jared arrived promptly and installed the garage door opener efficiently. It works well. I have used Compaan for decades and they are a great company to work with.
My only disappointment is Jared couldn’t help me with the LiftMaster app. I have a similar opener at my other place which uses a different router. The app wants to connect to that router and I have been unable at FAQ site to find a way to associate app to two separate routers to enable WiFi control at this location.
