Installation and Replacement

Whether you are building a new home, replacing a worn-out door, or upgrading your curb appeal, we handle the full scope of residential garage door installation. A standard installation takes approximately four hours. We carry doors from C.H.I. Overhead Doors (our preferred partner), Hormann, Wayne Dalton, Raynor, Garaga, and Pro Door.

Door styles include traditional raised panel, carriage house, modern and contemporary, full-view glass, flush panel, and custom designs. Materials range from steel (the most common choice) to wood, composite, aluminum, fiberglass, and vinyl. Insulated doors are available in a range of R-values – R-9 to R-10 covers most standard garages, and R-15 to R-18 is what we recommend for heated garages or workspaces.

Garage Door Repair

Most calls we get are for a door that will not open, and the number one cause is a broken spring. Torsion and extension springs are rated for about 10,000 cycles – one cycle being one open and one close – which works out to roughly 7 to 10 years of normal use. We strongly recommend replacing both springs at the same time, because if one breaks, the other is on borrowed time.

For homeowners who want longer-lasting performance, we offer 25,000-cycle spring upgrades. These make sense for higher-use households or anyone planning to stay in their home long term.

Beyond springs, we handle cable repair and replacement, track repair and alignment, roller replacement, panel replacement, weatherseal replacement, safety sensor repair, and general tune-up and maintenance work.

Garage Door Openers

We install and repair openers from LiftMaster (our top recommendation), Linear, and Genie. Options include belt drive units (quieter operation), wall-mount openers, battery backup models, and smart openers with Wi-Fi connectivity. If your current opener is compatible, we can typically add Wi-Fi capability to it without a full replacement.

A well-maintained opener lasts 15 to 25 years depending on the brand and usage. If yours is making more noise than usual, that often means it needs lubrication or adjustment – but it can also signal a failing gear or pulley that should be looked at before it goes completely.

We also program remotes and keypads and install safety sensors to meet current UL 325 safety standards.

Commercial Door Types

We install and service commercial overhead doors, rolling steel doors, fire-rated doors, high-speed doors rated for up to 60 cycles per hour under constant load, sectional industrial doors, and loading dock equipment. Our service history includes doors up to 36 feet wide by 18 feet tall.

Warranties and Guarantees

All installations come with a one-year labor warranty covering workmanship and manufacturer issues. Spring warranties start at three years, with lifetime upgrades available. Opener parts carry a one-year warranty, with some models covered for five years. Manufacturer door warranties passed through to the customer include lifetime coverage on delamination and 10-year coverage on certain paint finishes.

We do not require service contracts. If a warranty issue comes up, we handle it – and when the situation is unclear, we resolve it in the customer’s favor.

Estimates are free. Every garage door job is different, so we do not post fixed pricing, but we give you a ballpark up front and walk through your options without pushing products you do not need. Financing is available. We accept cash, credit, ACH, and check, and we offer a military discount.
